A COMMUNITY THAT COMES TOGETHER
strong
spirit of community permeates the Historic King Drive area.
Known today as the Harambee neighborhood, this tight-knit
community is rich in history and culture.
"Harambee" is a Swahili word for "pulling together."
The neighborhood draws its unique character from its historic
homes, strong churches, and over 20,000 residents who have
been pulling together since the mid 1800s to make the area
a great place for their families.
Quality schools, a good park system and numerous attractions
further contribute to making Harambee such a dynamic community.
Residents here have plenty of discretionary income to take
advantage of a wealth of recreational opportunities.
